Very retro. It's a good quality product. This phone has an old fashioned ringer and dialing tone and the volume of the ringer is adequate. The call volume is ok too. If you like retro items and old fond memories, you'll love this phone. -
Review of GPO 746 Retro Rotary Dial Phone

This is a lovely retro phone. It looks just the same as I remember the original phones. The dial turns easily and returns quicker than I remember the original dial did - but this is a good thing in today's world! The dial is of lighter construction than the old GPO dial and the 'end stop' is obviously a micro-switch that generates the 'tone' based on the position of the dial when your finger reaches the end stop. I guess time will tell how well this mechanism holds up, but my initial impressions are very positive.
